The word of the week was "sandcastle". Since I like to think outside of the box, I didn't want to draw a literal sandcastle but to come up with something a little bit more creative and unique.
Have you heard about the sandman children story? I wanted to make a feminine version of him so I drew a sand fairy instead, who is blowing magical sand to the little boy's head making him dream about a castle/sandcastle.

For the final piece I decided to make the sandcastle area much brighter so that it gives the impression that it is glowing in the dark. I also defined more the shape of the castle.
